I am thinking about getting 1 12w6v2 sub and i need help finding an amp. I was wondering if there is an amp for about $250 that will work nicely with this sub.

you'll need something that does 400-600 watts @ 2 ohms (i'd give it a good 600, it'll take it like a champ), theres something to start you out with.

the MTX MXA600.1 would fit that sub perfectly IMO. it does 600 RMS @ 2 ohms and i'm pretty sure it fits your price range.

get that and call it a day,

then 2 months later sell the 12w6v2 and get a 10w7.

or if u want to do cheaper than pg try z1000d by hifonics... there MIGHT be some left on ebay

i call that overkill on this sub....

when i had my 12w6v2 i gave it 750 watts which was okay but really it wasn't necessary
