12w3v3 vs. 12 RE SE

How similar are these subs? I'm looking for SQL and i know that jl has one of the best sq subs out there. It will also be a pair of which ever one. It is going in a lexus gx470. Both will also be in a sealed box.

That was what i'm thinking. I guess i'll save up another $150 and get the se. There is a pair of 12w3v3s on here for 200 shipped. somebody need to jump on that.

i've owned the 10w3v3 and currently have a pair of 12" RE SE's. I would choose an SE over the jl ANY DAY

true that...making the SX a bad choice, seeing as he prolly isnt seeking out that much SPL if he is choosing between a w3 and SE......

dont get me wrong, the SE is not mediocre in SPL in ANY way at all, they can get extremely loud for sure, just are geared more towards SQ, hence the lower power handling (among many other things).

When I was looking for one, I only found one ad on eBay for like $140, all the others were double that price. Still going to buy one, but need cash first.

I'll be powering them with a pa a3000ab. I think i'll be wiring them 4 ohm since the se don't require that much power.

I've though about the SX also but i'm more towards sq that can get loud occasionally when i want them to. My jbl has pretty good sq but they don't get loud, thats why i'm wanting to get the SE's.

Re Se handles more power then the w3v3. A better compariosn would be the tw5 or w6v2
