so... Got my front stage handled. RSD's with an old school es sony comp set for rear fill runnin off the deck (probably turned off unless I have rear passengers. A healthy 320wrms per side for the rsd's lol i like headroom.

And.... for the substage. I am gettin two 12's wantin pretty loud with good/great SQ and plenty of low end extension. I want about 100 bucks a 12. This is definitely an "about" i'll spend a lil more if need be. Amp will be about 500wrms per 12 again i can swing one thats about 700wrms a side.

I'm of course considering the RSD's for the substage as well. But i want other ideas also, so let me know if any of these will be better or if you have better suggestions post them up. I have about 1.25 net cu ft per 12. And forgive me but i didn't check box requirements on any of these candidates, it is merely by price and power handling.

i dunno like i said sq is important, and i need low bass extension. Nothing really seems like a better deal than the rsd's let me know what you think.

somone wanna object to me gettin the rsd 12's? What kinda box do they excel in, i might be able to design something vented for them or get 4 sealed, but if i go with the 4 sealed i would have the same power constraints.

I think they require about 1.8 cubes sealed.

My vote goes for some Dayton Audio Reference HO 12s. 140 each on PE w/ free shipping, work nicely in a .8-1.0 cube sealed enclosure, send em about 4-500 watts rms and they'll be happy.

Why not the HF 12's?

Anyway...out of your list, I'd choose the Eclipses, but the Shiva-X, new Creative Sound and Exodus drivers are all around that same price bracket.

Only because the HF requires a larger box, thats the only reason I usually don't recommend it unless space is not an issue then it's really a toss up.

Also, the HO really does require small boxes, my 10" HOs are sitting a dual chamber ported enclosure, each chamber is .67 cubic feet, tuned to 30hz, and it sounds VERY clean.

Those shiva x drivers have a very impressive x-max I would save up the money, but 45 dollars on shipping on top of the price already just pisses me off too bad to buy them.

Sorry I don't want you to think i am ruling out the daytons at all, i am just trying to gather opinions. Maybe I should go with 3 12's that are around 75 dollars each or less, any suggestions then?

I think i might go with two dayton HO 15's, winisd shows them sittin in 1.7 each roughly sealed. And that should get me loud enough... hrm anyone use these before? Have comments on them?
