12's narrowed down

I think i might go with two dayton HO 15's, winisd shows them sittin in 1.7 each roughly sealed. And that should get me loud enough... hrm anyone use these before? Have comments on them?
IMO the Daytons are one of the most overlooked budget driver on the market.

I've used the 12" HO and currently am running 2 10" HOs, and I enjoy them VERY much. I went from the 12 to a 15" XXX, and now I'm back to the HOs, of course it's my opinion that the HOs sound much nicer than the XXX, so take it with a grain of salt if you must, but I wouldn't of switched back to Dayton if I wasn't impressed with them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'd honestly go with the two 12s ported, if I were you. Most people that have experience with them usually run them in a sealed application, but from my experiences they LOVE a ported environment.

For the 12s I'd aim for about 1.2 per chamber tuned to 30hz, with about 12-15 sq inches of port per driver.

If it means anything to you, the two HOs ported, are noticeably louder than the 15" xxx was, though it was sealed, but I definitely feel I gained in output by running the two 10s, also I'm using the same amp to power the Daytons as I was to power the XXX, so the only change is the drivers and enclosure, and I can say I'm very happy with my decision.

You may have just sealed the deal my friend.

1.2 net per chamber might be doable. I'm breakin out the tape measurer now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Free shipping on those also right? And parts express isn't going to run out any time soon because this purchase will take place at two seperate times once for each woofer. One here in a couple weeks and the other in about two months. So if they are discontinued or anything then that option is out.

Yep, they're offering free shipping on orders over 99.99, the only issue is that the deal ends at the end of the day on January 3rd, 08 so you still have about a month and a half to order, but even so shipping on em isn't that expensive. The shipping on my 10" HO was like 5 and change, the 12 should be around 10.

I've yet to see them run out of the Daytons. I check regularly because sometimes they mark them down a few bucks, and they've always had em.
