holy shit, none of the ps3s that are made right now are BW compatible!
good thing mine is the 60 gb version that released in 2006, I think I got the best of everything despite the fact that I only got 60 GB

But to be honest, I dont think I have played single ps2 game on my ps3 since I got it in 2006..

so I would say dont worry about ps2, it is pretty much dead, ps3 games are much better than ps2's , but i can understand if you would want to play some games in the series on ps3.. for example, i am looking for a copy of final fantasy 7 and would like to play it as well (it is a ps2 game) but the 13th is going to be out for ps3

Eh, square knows where the money is. The same reason they jumped ship with Nintendo back in the N64 era. Can't blame them really. Sony will pick up steam for sure, but MS has this generation in the pocket.
