i didn't see a 120GB unit on the website.....

introducing 120GB or 160GB model with Dual Shock 3?

where are you finding a 120gb cause everywhere i look i cant find it even on google

holy shit, none of the ps3s that are made right now are BW compatible!

good thing mine is the 60 gb version that released in 2006, I think I got the best of everything despite the fact that I only got 60 GB

But to be honest, I dont think I have played single ps2 game on my ps3 since I got it in 2006..

so I would say dont worry about ps2, it is pretty much dead, ps3 games are much better than ps2's , but i can understand if you would want to play some games in the series on ps3.. for example, i am looking for a copy of final fantasy 7 and would like to play it as well (it is a ps2 game) but the 13th is going to be out for ps3

Are you thinking of the 160gb PS3? I don't think there is a 120gb but i'm probably wrong.

i'm pretty sure i saw a 120gb at walmart...i may be mistaken

well my kids have like 200 PS2 games so i wanted the BW cap....guess i'll have to buy them another PS2 also

Even the consoles that are backwards compatible still won't play all ps2 games. Some games will work and some others won't. Playstation has or used to have a list on their website about which games would still work.

You have more space to save things. I dont think you can use PS2 games in any PS3 if thats what you mean. I could be wrong though.

I've got the original ps3 (60gb) and you can play just about every ps2 game in it.

I have a 20gig thats full BC. Simple HD swap and you are golden.

I guess I d agree with what others say, find a ps3 that is BC on ebay or do a HD swap if you know how to do that.. if not, then best bet is go on ebay and score an original release 60 GB PS3 which claims to be compatible with most ps2 games..

They stopped doing BC on new PS3s because it is cheaper to manufacture them without it, therefore it makes it cheaper for the consumer. Also, Sony makes hardly any money through the sales of the PS3 and rely a lot on the software sales, with the expense of PS3 games, they weren't selling enough and the cheap PS2 games were selling a lot more.

im pretty sure the new PS3's dont play PS2 games...I think they got rid of that feature.

Go figure, its not like the PS2 has like 2304902193 12309120391203910239 million units out and multiple games for each unit sold.

But hey...if it ain't broke.
