1200 watt Lanzar keeps blowing main fuse without HU on

It was working fine the other day, and I do not abuse it. Turned it on and it does not power up. The headunit ant power lead to the amp does power on the little neon light that the amp has built into it. However, even WITHOUT the head unit being on EVERY time I put a new fuse in the amp it blows. I checked the amp fuse terminals with a volt meter and I am getting 12 volts to the amp (main power supply from battery with two grounding circuit breakers inline). Thoughts?

The amp is under my seat and a very tight fit. I will pull it out this weekend (don't really want to) and pull the cover. What sort of things am I looking for? Thanks again!!
