What will be the benifits drawbacks. I wanna go from this 12 inch xxx in a fake shell to 2 Rlps sealed. with about 800 watts to each. Hows the SQ of these Rlps. hows the output? Im looking for like that Flat response where my Lows while play just as loud as the rest of the bass.

Two RL-p's, even sealed, are going to be able to keep up with a single XXX //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Port the RL-p's, and you have a very potent setup on your hands, that will outdisplace and get louder than the single XXX. And have better SQ at lower volumes.

People that have compared them have said that the XXX eats the RLP with the exeption of mrray but it has better SQ, the rlp wont hold as much power as an XXX anyway.
power doesn't mean shit.....You could buy two rl-ps for the cost of the XXX.

ok guys im not worried about hitting 140 dbs. i just want a loud daily driver. Yes the XXX is rediculously loud. But thats not raeally want im looking for. I think 2 sealed drivers ill keep the same about of output and get some more Sq out of it. and no i dont really wanna port them. If i was gonna port it id get a single 1 and seal it.

and yes im sure the xxx blows away a single RLP but im talking about 2 of them. Theres no way the xxx could make up for the displacement disadvantage expeceally if they were both ported. im talking SQ setup.

Reading > you ?

overall...it's a tossup. the lighter weight of the rl-p makes it easier to handle and it does play lower in this application. the xxx, due to power rating, should have the potential to get quite a bit louder and in this case seemed to be louder with the power on hand. the xxx might just need a bigger box in this case even though re recommends .8ft^3. it just doesn't reach real low sealed, even in 1.25ft^3.

get the rl-ps then..............ive never heard a rl-p but i have 2 12 inch tc 9's sealed in my truck which are basically the same as a rl-p. For daily its all you need and then some
