i need a 12" that will get quite loud off of this power but sound good doing so... PORTED of course...

(Xenon 600.1)

was thinking:

Type R 12"

W6v2

anything else that will do very well with 600 watts? i don't want to barely power a sub, i want it to be loud with this power...

budget is about 250 shipped

Thanks!

I've never gotten my M6mkII (same sub as the D6) metered or anything but it gets plenty loud enough to make all three rearview mirrors useless and enough to make a non-stereo enthusiast ask for it to be turned down fairly quickly if that is any indication for you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And I run mine off of 600 watts so I know firsthand how they sound on that amount of power.

sounds like something i'd want //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif what are they rated at sir?

how about an eclipse alum??? are they under $250
Which version?? I would think that if you are limited for power than you need something with higher than avg sensitivity and considerable x-max. Eclipse specs are typically way off...if they claim 1.2" of x-max it's more like half or ~15 mm.

I have $100 if anyone can find a thread where Prowler has recommended anything besides Diamond or Kenwood!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

The M6mkII has a rating of 800w RMS according to the manual but the label on the magnet boot claims 500w.

I'll guess that the D6 is likely very similar if not exactly the same. (but not knowing for certain be aware that this is a guess)

checked e-gay, 600rms... doesn't sound like the same sub... is there better for the money? Type R's are cheaper...

Shall I go further? Where's my $100??

I'm dead serious about the $100, by the way.....

Yes I continually recommend both Kenwood eXcelon and DAT gear.

I also recommend Profile's California-series and Clarus gear quite often to people on a tight budget.

I make recommendations based on what I know works from personal experience rather than basing things on hearsay or the latest bandwagon-type fad that might be the current forum boner.

Wouldn't you prefer, if you were asking for ideas on something, that the people making suggestions actually have some hands-on experience with the gear they're telling you to spend your cash on?? I know I would.
