12" RF punch HE2/HX2 ported or (2) e10k ported

Either setup will be powered by a RF punch 500.2 which will do b/w 500-600 watts rms @ 4 ohm bridged. I was thinking of going with one 12" RF Punch HE2 or HX2 subwoofer. And the other thought was two e10k subwoofers. Both setups will make a 4 ohm load that I need but I was just wondering if the RF will give me more of what I want and still stay compact. Space is not a factory because I can do up to about 5.0 cu ft. I am looking for a 60/40 spl/sq sound. So please lemme know what you guys think because I want to start getting my system running, after the little scamming I went through a month ago.

I am in favor of the 2 edK's, cause more surface space and decent SQ from the last time I heard them, plus you have plenty of room, so I vote for the ED's, even though the HX2 can put out some pretty decent SPL, in this situation I would lean toward the ED's

but at the same time he is looking to maintain 40% sq, which IMO would dq the RF in a second, 2 10s sharing the same space, vs 1 12 would give you a fair amount of spl while maintaing good sq, where as 1 12( and a rf at that) would be a little sloppier, albeit a very good spl setup.

I could get a 2003 HE2 for $125 shipped and a pair of e10k for $130 shipped. (the "e" logo ones) The only reason I even considered RF was because all of my interior speakers are RF fanatic X speakers. What other brands would anyone recommend for this price or a little more??

i'd still go with the 10s man, they are solid, and will give you what you want

NO, he never gave me anything and I sent him my (2) "e" k's. That is why I am going through this dumb *** dilema. I wanna rip that guys head off. I am still trying to find where he lives because I miss placed his address. If anyone can help me please do!

biggup, so he freakin ripped u off? man that sucks that just aint right ripping off a fellow caraudio member. i would go with a good 12" hx2 myself but i like them subs. but the 2 10s would be aweseome also. i think its more of your own personal perference, you decide.

There is nothing wrong with RF. They don't sound THAT bad. My friend just got 1 12k. I havn't had too much time listening to it. The little time that I did it sounded much different than my brahma (both getting about the same powr). It seemed sorta shallow, but that's probly what you get when u pay 135 (or still has a 1/2 " hole in the back to patch). I would go with the rockford.
