12" RE MT/Fi Btl? | .7/1.4 ohm | BXI 2007/8D?

OK im thinking of getting a two 12" RE MT's and powering each one with a Hifonics BXi 2007/8D. Is the Bxi able to put out 2600 x 1 ohm? The Mt can only be wired in .7 or 1.4ohms. Would a BXi be stable at .7 ohms? If I run the amp at 1.4ohms how much power do you think would be getting to the sub? What other amps are there that are capable to power this sub at 2500+ watts? Should I get the 2 Re MT's or should i go with a 2x12" Fully Loaded Fi BTL's for daily use? Trying not to spend lots o ' money on the amps. With the BTL i could run it at 1 ohm with a BXi.

yes, but itll cost more money to get an amp that is 2000 @ 2 ohms but still stable at 1 ohm than to get an amp which is 2000 @ 1ohm.

Plus that BXi is overrated, you would be lucky to see 1000 watts to each sub after imp rise. If I was you I would just buy a 15 and power it with that BXi. Would be cheaper too, just my .02

Also if your buying the BTL's brand new thats like 450 bucks each right there, why are you trying to cheap out on an amp?

either the Bxi2607D or the BXi2608D, whichevers cheaper. I dont think the newer 2008 model as anything the 2607 doesnt, (i think)...... I may also be able to get both BTLS for ONLY 500-600$-trying to stay close to 1000$ budget, but maybe able to get the MT for even cheaper. I dont fully understand the impedance rise of the voice coil. smaller box=greater rise? bxi200*d @ 1ohm=2600/@2ohm=1700, would i be underpowering the sub? 1.4 ohm

2600-1700=900 | 2-1.4=.6 | .6 x 900 = 540 | 1700+540=2240 watts. at 1.4 ohms the amp would be sending 2240 watts to the sub. i may be able to get the RE MT for like $150 though and the BTL for $350......... so cheap
