12" Kicker Comp VR What db did they hit for you?

In fact just thinking back, around town my only competitor (small town), had a camaro with 2 type-r's sealed, 12" running on a tiny coustic amp, he hit 143db locally and everyone told me that my car made his sound sick or something. When I heard it I couldn't believe it had hit 143, but he took the competition with that BS...

I beg to differ. Im layin down 145.9 and 146.0 with two ported 15s with 550rms each.
mine are in a 4 door trunk car so im pretty sure no 145 for me. but congrats on the on the score. im sure some one could hit a 150 with two 15s cvrs with a lot of power and the correct install. there not really that bad of woofers.

Thanks. I think I can do better. I think you could do it if you had the right install

i did a 140 w/ 2 12's sealed in the back of a talon. that was easily 4-5 yrs ago. i think i might get some more, just to play w/ it is all in the box though. i bet i could get 2 12's up to 145-146.....

The box was key to me. I could get that loud by being tuned low and pumping a few kilowatts through the subs. People tend to forget that db is simply a matter of driving air and with the right setup you can maximize any woofer.

I hit 155db'z with 2 cvr 10's off 250watts rms in the bed of my '78 isuzu (no camper), when the sub hits and there's no body panels to catch them and make them bounce off eachother they can expand and therefore get louder.....

lmfao...............

just stop before you embarrass your self any more

Hey the dude asked what they hit, that's what they hit. And I said 148, not 155 whoever thought that was funny... I bought my first set of CVR's entirely intending to see what they could do, and I found out. I started sealed with an 800 watt amp on both, and ended up with a slot ported box and 1200 watts per channel. The box was 30hz, the tone was 43hz, not that that changes much. It's ok, I have mentioned this before without anyone taking me seriously. My sunroof still doesn't work from that summer, and it was the first time I knocked a mirror off.

To be honest with you dumbasses, it wasn't actually all that hard to do. Makes me wonder how shitty your setups are.

Either way you can call BS all day, but that doesn't change what I've done.

Go find something else to amuse yourselves.

Edit: I don't even go for SPL anymore I don't know why I am arguing with you kids...

after reading that above i know for a fact that ur not loud. a 145+ at 30hz is just plain stupid loud. and if for some reason you did the mic is retardly old and would not break a 40 on a tl. im not hating cause i could care less, just stating the obvious //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i have heard them though, i owned 2 12's in 2.5 cube boxes tuned to 32hz. i didnt play much with them cause they just didnt get loud for the set up i had. they did do a 142 even on the TL and got quite stinky

You know nothing for a fact. I can tell you though that you have to power them way past the stinky point. When I was done with them the surrounds were flappy and the VC stank, here's a pic of one I keep around for some odd reason now, this one gave out when the VC seized after 3 months, the other died 2 months later...

By the way that's pretty much the box I had mine in, give them 1200 watts a side in a good car and see what they do for you.

I sold the other one (Ebay Auction# 5862146925) and kept this one, i guess to remind me of when I hit 148db on two CVR's.

NOW STOP SAYING BS!

By the way, people who have two Jensen subs, and say I am not loud, make me feel funny inside.
