It will still have more output with +2000 watts and the copper coil. In my testing the copper coil was always louder. I couldn't put enough power on the woofer for this to not be true. DJ says in their testing, in some setups the aluminum will be louder than the copper coil, but it typically takes a ton of power for this to be true. So it's not that the copper doesn't continue to get louder. It's just that the aluminum continues to get louder at a higher rate, and will sometimes pass the copper coil.
On a side note, the difference in output is not noticable by ear. It was a small difference, and the human ear isn't going to detect it. The two woofers will have different sound characteristics though, and that is noticable. Most people prefer the copper coil for SQ.
