12" BTL vs 15" BTL

If you don't have to add a lot then I don't see why not. The only way you're going to find out of it will be louder is by getting it and putting it in your car.

lol, I doubt you'll get a 10db increase...maybe a couple though. It's all in the install. A good install with a 12 will be louder than a shitty install with a 15.

i went from a 12in dd 9512g to an fi btl 15...never looked back.

if you want a HUGE db gain then you're looking at measuring your car for it's peak freq and building a fart box around those measurements. this doesnt really do any good for daily bumping. I think you'll still get a noticable and pleasent gain in output with the 15 for daily. I have my btl in 3cubs @ 33hz and it's IMO it's the best musical daily driving with an spl sub setup ive ever owned.

Just make sure you're not getting the short end of the stick by trading for a sub that may have problems. You said getting the 12 in was a PITA. Will fighting with the 15 be worth it? I'm just skeptical when it comes to trades and used stuff not knowing how well it was taken care of.

yeah he has pics of it in the orig. box says it BNIB foam n everything is still around it. plus imma get pics w a DMM on it
