12" Alpine Type X

...Ive got 2 Type X 12's with 2 PDX 1.1000amps. Ive hit 145db in a 01 Grand Cherokee...

...just curious if anybody else has these subs/amps and what they r hitting in comparison...

What would you suggest?......doubling the power to 2k per sub to gain 3 or 4dbs

The type x's imo are sound quality subs. since u listed ur score i'm assuming that your concerned with that and not so much the quality. I have 2 type r's that I run with a kicker zx 1500 at 1 ohm so im making slightly less power than you and my box is a daily box and needs to be smaller and I do a 144.7 at the headrest. (was ur score at the headrest?) a fellow team member of mine is hitting a 150 in a B2300 with a 15' type r and a kicker zx2500. Another team member of mine had a grand cherokee ( not sure what year ) and had 2 type r's powered by a Viper 2500 and was in the high 146's and low 147's. IMO I believe that if your trying to increase your score then go with type r's. I believe they're louder. If you want sound quality stick with the type x's. You could also stick with the type x's and put a lot more power on them so if you want to try that you can to.

im more for quality...i had it metered just to see how loud it actually was because i was curious. Im not worried about going louder...its clear n loud enough as is.
