12 Iridium vs W12GTI

plz Help , I'm going to buy a pair of the 12 Iridium's but i've read many great reviews about the 12gti's so which would be the better choice? im considering a sql ported box for 2 12's .. my front stage is iridium 6.2,

what are your thoughts?

Either of those subs will be a great choice. They will both work well in very similar enclosures but the GTi should be the louder of the two.

can the iridiums get loud as well as the gti's?

and which one do you prefer between the 15gti and 12gti? dosen't the w15 get too loud for trance music?!

I have not heard the iridiums, so i cant comment on that. I am partial to 15s, so that is what I would go with. As for being to loud, I dont understand that language //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif With that said my budy has 2 12 gtis off the crown 2200.1, and its pretty brutal, while still sounding very nice.. Ive heard them in several setups, and have always been pleased. One of my favorite all around subs..

I have a 12" GTI running off of a BPX1100.1 in a 1.2^3 sealed enclosure. Gets plenty loud for me(when I want it to). I'd rather it blend in with my other speakers however //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Thomas has a 15" GTI and had an Orion 2500D hooked up to it. He seems to have liked it.

i have a 10wgti's and probably the best sounding sq 10 on the markets, very efficient subwoofers, and can handle tons of wattage with no distrotion.

i cant imagine what a 12 sounds like,

though i like the diamond audio subs also d9

and the type x , but the alpines you need serious wattage and they arent to efficent on the power side but have great sound and sq with power.

the fs of the 12 iridiums is 33.8 so does it mean they don't perform very well at 30hz tuned?

I've owned a GTi..it was a W10GTi though. Only off a 601.1 in 1.75cf tuned to 27Hz. Best overall sub I have owned thus far. Loud and crystal clear.

they aren't the same. Just going off the graph, the Iridium is capable of playing higher freq range notes with more output then the GTI. The GTI also plays louder in the 33ish-50hz range and begins to drop off in output after 50hz is reached, the Iridium then begins to win all the way till it's drop off. So no, I wouldn't say they are the same.

Plus that graph looks like a WinISD program and you can't really go off of that anyways.

graph can help you compare, but listening does alot more.

the jbls i can tell you for sure ,and i have 10s, drop very low, with no distortion.

plus that the freq response of the gti is 18-1000 and 20-2500 for the iridium ! can't decide!

well just to let u know the warranty for the jbls are 3 years on the gti. i dont know if i can say that for indriums.
