this is like comparing a figure skater's skills to a speed skater. 2 totally different classes of drivers. The power handling difference alone makes this a pretty unpleasant Q to answer

SQ- 35%

I bought the Al coils, with the power it has now they are just getting warmed up and the suspension is getting loose.

The problem with the AQ is it likes a higher tuned box, with that you are loosing sq. But it is louder then a w7. But Im not gonna lie I do have one. It doesn't sound great.

i'm pretty sure copper coils are better? i'm not 100% though, never read up on it..

if you plan on using less than 1800 watts on the sub the copper coil will be your best bet, but once you get to 2k+ the alum. coils will outshine the copper from what i have gathered. It's a baller status issue

I think this thread is retarded.
The jl will get louder and sound better with such a less impact on your electrical system.

The hdc3 is going to beat your car up, beat you up, and **** your electrical system if you dont have one to back it up.

all in all i wouldnt be surpised if the hdc3 actualy cost you more in the long run.

although price isnt a factor, or so you say, it is.

what are your goals, do you want to sit in your car and get accurate music reproduction or do u just want that bass u can hear 5 blocks down and show off to the old people driving there cars next to you?

FYI subs have nothing to do with a strain on your electrical, there are efficiant amps out there. And the JL will not get louder then the AQ.
