but for real, you will want more than 1k to throw at the aq if you go that route. i had 1500 going to an hd3 and it easily could have taken more power

alum. is supposed to handle more power better then the copper

I read a post by, I believe, DJ himself on Termpro stating that the copper coil is louder for lower power levels -- under 2k -- and the aluminum coil louder with more than that.

Have you looked into an IDMax? It will sound just as good or almost as good as a W7 and will get louder. You may be able to find a good used one for cheap. And it will take 1k all day and twice on Sunday

Just wondering which of these subs you would recommend, without price being a factor.
I am looking for something that can still get loud, hit the lows, and maintain SQ.

I guess overall I am looking for SQL(I know a lot of you hate this term)

I bought the Al coils, with the power it has now they are just getting warmed up and the suspension is getting loose.

yea it does...I have now leaned towards putting @ 2k worth of watts on there and throw a 10" RE xxx in the mix.....I am so confused

its not a fair comparison but the 12" has the potential to be louder.
