12 HDC3 vs. 12 W7

Just wondering which of these subs you would recommend, without price being a factor.

I am looking for something that can still get loud, hit the lows, and maintain SQ.

I guess overall I am looking for SQL(I know a lot of you hate this term)

So which has potential to get louder say both off of 1000-1500 watts?

Which will sound the best?

Plan on being in a ported enclosure

The 12" HDC3 Will get louder then The W7 But it will not sound better.. The HDC3 will sound good dont get me wrong but from what i heard the W7 Is way up there when it comes to SQ. But for price comparison Hands down go with the HDC3

Depends on what you value more. Without price being a factor as you said, you gotta ask yourself: "Do I want to sacrifice some SQ to get louder, or is a W7 loud enough for me and I want the superior SQ?"

I have never had a more SQ sub yet....I would love to give my dub7 a try but dont know if I can wait seeing my situation...The trade I am thinking about has cash involved on the side of the HDC3

I wouldn't run anything AQ, but that's just me...

I probably wouldnt use either driver.... without knowing more about your install its hard to tell you which is better, i highly doubt the hdc is going to be as loud as it could be off that little power

dude these two subs are not even close to doing the same purpose...if you're asking this, you must be very confused in what you want...it's like asking if one want's to buy a cruiser or a crotchrocket...so what is your purpose?

from what i gather..you sound like you want what i got from my w7. a nice loud and tidy bass. i threw 1kw at it with a 1000/1 and it handled it beautifully.

ttt....the reason I ask is bc I am new to this HDC3 sub and wanted some opinions on ppl who hav experienced with them....

I would say SPL- 65%

SQ- 35%

I would only do the hdc3 if you can pick up more CLEAN power to throw at it. 2k+ then it would start to out shine the dub7 in spl.
