Is it a good deal if i buy this amp for 100 used off my friends brother?..im pretty new to Amps n Stuff..so just wondering..i honestly think its a good deal but i dunno if its just a generic thing.

Nope don't think so.

Heres what you can actually expect out of that amp

75 to 95 watts RMS X2 @4ohms stereo

300 to 350 watts RMS X1 @4ohms mono(bridged)

I would not recommend this to someone looking for a 1000 watt RMS sub amp.

yes, it's over-rated, but IMO it deserves a LITTLE more credit.

In the manual it says nothing about 1000w bridged "rms", just 1000w bridged (mono). I take that to be a max rating being that it's rated at 420x2 at 2 ohms stereo, implying 840x1 mono.

I'd give it about 125x2 and 400x1. Not a bad buy for $120 or so new.

I don't know why they blew the ratings so bad on these. The black series wasn't too far off.
