10w6v2 in a 10w7 HO box

A ported box? Tuning is gonna be off.

It might do okay, but it might do quite badly (sound bad and perform even worse). My guess is it wont do too well, ported enclsoures are pretty exacting, you cannot just toss different subs in the same ported box and expect similar results like you can many times with average sized sealed boxes.

Well I found the answer to my question. A 10w6v2 does not fit in a 10w7 HO box. Its to big. And Im not going to ruin a good box . So that leaves me with one option....

I got a 10w6v2 for trade plus cash. so get at me. Or its for sale.

it depends on how far apart the tuning would be, ifs its tuned pretty low, and is a little bit bigger, i bet it would hit hard

but who knows i think you should try it before you sell the sub

I would love to try it but my 10w6v2 is to big to fit in the hole. and im not going to cut the box to fit a sub thats not going preforme at optimal preformence. So IMO i think trading or selling my 10w6v2 is the most reasonable thing to do. Cuzz if i cut the HO box ill never be abgle to fit a w7 in there again and my 10w6v2 is going to be in a box thats not tuned properly. Plus its a good enough reason to upgrade my sub to a Dub 7
