10's v 12's

I'm trying to get the loudest idq setup (not including the 15's because i can get a rl-p for the same price) 4 idq 10's ported seems to be a little to space hungry for my compact car with its little trunk opening (enough room in but i can't get it in the darn thing) so what about 4 10's sealed, 3 of them ported or on the 12 inch side of things 3 of those sealed or spending a little more cake and getting 4 of them sealed. 2 12's ported could work but i'm not sure that would that much of a increase over the ported idmax since i'm looking for a setup that would be about twice as loud as the max.

i fit 4 10's ported in my bonny, i had to make it in 2 pieces, then put it together in trunk.... sounds great. but i would think 4 12's sealed would be loudest, but if you cant fit 4 10's ported then i doubt you could fit 4 12's sealed, so i would say 3 10's ported would be your best space wise and still be loud as hell. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the only problem with fitting 4 10's ported would be compensating for port area. the 12 idq need the same amount of space (1.0 cube) sealed as the 10's need ported. so 4 sealed 12 could work especially if i build a 'glass box. i don't see anything bigger than 4.25 cubes gross fiting without fiberglass work. what i think i'll do is go with 3 12's ported with 40-60 sq in of port. the guy at ID tech support said 30 sq in would be fine but i want more. i would then just build a 3.9-4.0 cube box and make a external "L" shaped slot port that would sit on top the box like a hood scoop. I might even get started on the box later today.
