1000W enough for stock battery?

If it's a car (small to midsized) chances the alternator are on the small side as well. If it was some large truck then sure the electrical system would be fine, but that's why they're asking for you to be more specific on the vehicle. That said, it depends how hard you're running things, how long you want your alternator to last, and what you consider an acceptable amount of headlight dimming. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yea depends on the car..If the battery is stock i'd replace it if its around the years you speak of.. i was running 2400rms in my caprice w/a 80 amp alt and a 800cca 600ca and was fine...minus dimming.. but it didnt affect the cars reliability.

From what your running you'll be fine.

would the smartest thing to do, when i get the car, be to do the big 3 upgrade? I probably wont have enough money to grab a new battery (Optima Red Top??)
