Guys I have been out of this for a long time I just picked up some subs for cheap. I only need 300 watts but I want to wire it up and get a amp to handle a whole lot more for my next sub. so what should I look at for around 800-1000 watts rms and not really expensive

look into audiopipe......if not hifonics for cheap power...i would tell u model numbers but u didnt say at what ohm you want that power

I knew so many people running the HiFonics Brutus amps years ago because they were a solid source of low-cost power, and the YouTube shows a bunch of people with 'em now with mostly good results.
