However, I've never heard them, from what I know they seem to be more of a SPL based sub, but I could be wrong.

For quality, I'd just say the DD subs, or Fi (though you've said you don't like them as much) - from my experience with reading other people's results. No personal experience to offer, however -.-

I would do:

Hertz MLK-3

Audison LRx 5.1k

Soundsplinter 15 or 18" RL-p (with the right enclosure, you won't need two and I'm sure you have room for a 15 or 18)

Eclipse 7200ii

You should be able to get that stuff under your budget or right at it depending on who you get it from. Ditch the rear 6x9s. With a 3-way front stage, you won't need it, esp in a coupe. You should also look into Second Skin for sound deadener.

I PMed you. The MLK 3 is pretty much out of your posted price range, sorry. Unless you can get it cheaper form a dealer on here. MLK 2 or MLK 165 would be good. Make sure you leave money in your budget for sound deadening, wiring and enclosure (unless you will build your own).
