$1000 to spend, what 2 subwoofers?

I have a budget of about $1000 for 2 subwoofers and I want some opinions on which 2 subs to get. I'm looking for a sub with excellant sq and spl. I was looking at the jl audio 12 w7 and the 12" hertz mille ml 3000.

I've got a 1991 cadillac sedan deville so I've got quite a bit of room to work with, I'll be running 2 arc audio ks 1000 amplifiers(one for each sub) 850 watts at 4 ohms, and 1000 watts at 2 and 1 ohm.(Each amplifier)

Spend some money on subs then spend some on more power.

have you considered Sundown Nightshade 12s?

Hmmm...well with that amount of power I would try to get subs such as Fi Q, Re Sx, or IDMax. I suggest selling those amps and investing that into somemore power so you can run something like RD Alpha V.2's, or RE XXX's. You will get those subs moving with that power but it will be far from their potential.

A pair of Fi Q's would sound decent, get the brand new starting at $244 each for the 12" models. They handle 1000 watts rms.

I don't have any of the equipment yet, I've got about $3000 to spend total on a hu,speakers,amps, and subs. I know I want 2 12's.I was thinking of going with an eclipse cd7200mkii head unit, hertz hsk 130.3's and hsk 690 for speakers, 2 arc audio ks 1000's and an arc audio ks 300.4. As for subs, I can't decide, I know I want 2 12's.
