1000+rms 8" subwoofer :) (burp only)

i don't think that will handle 1000+rms on a burp .. they are cheap enough.. but more of an oem replacement sub.. not for comps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

DD 1508 or maybe the Soundsplinter RL-i 8" are the only two that I can really think of that could take that.

Actually, on second though, an L7 8" could take that as well. I bassraced with an L7 8" on my zx2500 at 2 ohms.

a lil confused about the whole burping process. when u say burp with 1000+rms, i know its for a short amount of time, but what if you took that 8" and played it daily at the same power. no good?

burping = higher frequency, USUALLY.

daily = playing all frequencies, including low ones, which would bottom the sub out due to overpower..

the coil wud heat up **** fast and alot of stress wud overcome on the sub and all its mechanical parts, so burping is for short periods. pushing a sub basically to its max, but just for a short period

u burp high(ish) frequency's when competing? i thought u did low freq. when u burped. was always a lil confused when i see these scores when people say they burped this and that at 40-50 hz. always thought it would be in the low 30's
