power acoustik amps?

about to pick up a Power Acoustik Ov2-1200 gothic amp Does anyone have any opinion on it? I'm not looking for all out power, but for the price it seems like a great deal. Just trying to push a single Type X 12.

Ratings are pretty accurate IMO, but only the RMS ones.

2x250@4ohm

2x300@2ohm

1X600@4ohm

1x???@2ohm (MINE was 2 ohm stable)

You should have brought this up 2 days ago! I sold mine to a guy at a yard sale for $60.

I bought one brand new on ebay for like $130 for 2 12" Power Acoustik FUBR's and the amp sucked, it went on protect mode all the time when i turned it up loud. I sold it and bought the Power Acoustik Plasma Series 1920 (880 RMS) and it still goes on protect mode. These amps **** man, to be honest. I can tell you first hand. The plasma series looks wicked sick at night, but as far as what its ment for ( to amplify sound, and not the look of it) it blows. I also think Power Acoustik lies about their specs. I am trying to update my system to something much better. I know Power Acoustik, audiobahn, etc. are all are really cheap in price, but you really do get what u pay for. Thats why i am saving up for brand new Orion Sub and a high end amp. You can get this amp, its like $130. But u get really bad quailty. Save up and by a $300-500 on ebay Alpine, JL, Orion, MTX...you will be much happier...hope this helps
