10'' w6v2 & 500/1 popping sound

well, their would be no ? that i wud buy an aftermarket HU right away, but the kits they make for the accord look like crap and i just cant abanoned the center console radio. Therefore i wanted to get the most out of my stock HU. i want to go with a cleansweep if they come out with one that doesnt have that stupid volume botton problem. anyother suggestions?

clean sweep, double din, or deal w the popping and piss poor sound...Not like ur runnin a sh!t amp , buy a hu to match the amp....

yea i know ur exactly correct, i just gotta get myself around to convining to get a HU, its more comestic for me right now.

Will the cleansweep do the same thing a double din HU will do?

ive had popping sounds from JL's before, its the voice coil hitting the magnet, it happens when you crank it up right?

next time keep your thoughts to yourself, i wouldnt worry much about the gain seeing it is being ran off of a factory headunit that would explain weak voltage which would be why it is up so high.

anyhow, for the cleansweeps, is there still the problem that you have to control the music from the cleansweep radio botton. I have heard if u touch the reg volume it will screw evertyhing up.

wow lots of misinformation in this thread.

i want to ask you a couple things first what kind of alt,what kind of battery,where is your gain set ( check voltage with dmm),check ground for proper connection and is the ground longer than 3ft? to me it sounds like improper ground is causing feedback through rca.did it sound fine for a while then all of a sudden you get popping ?

no matter what your input connection is .. rca or high level inputs gains should ALWAYS be set with a dmm. unless you have an o-scope.

Hey, sorry to jack your thread, but I just have a quick question. When your system does work..how does the 10w6v2 and 500/1 sound? I was thinking of getting a 12w6v2.
