10" Stroker

I recently got a newer 10" CV Stroker from a friend and I cant find much info on them. I'm curious what size enclosure should I run with it? I wanna go ported and I'm not sure if I should tune high or low. I want the sub to be loud and low. I think I had seen the manual recommend 1.5 cu ft ported to 40hz.

My main question is, should I run the sub in a 1.5 ported and use a lot of port area or is there a better size box that would be more suitable for this sub. It's goin in the back of a dodge avenger and being ran off a Planet Audio TT-2250D, 2,250 watts at 1 ohm.

I always build my boxes with round ports in case I ever wanna change the tuning frequency. I have always been curious on how people find the displacement of round ports. Anyone know? Thanks for any help.

To calculate the displaced volume, take the port area, and multiply by the length. If you used inches for the area and length, divide by 12^3 to get the units into cubic feet instead of cubic inches.

So I have 2 4" ports that are 7.75 inches long. My surface area for the ports is 25.1 sq in of port. Then I would take 25.1 x 15.5 = 389 then I divide that by 1728 which gives me .225 cu ft of port displacement. Does that sound right?

I have a 4 cu ft box after sub displacement for my 12" solo x. So technically it's only a 3.8 cu ft box with the port displacement? It seems like I should have more than 25 sq inches of port for my sub.

Would I need a Lot of port area if my box for my 10" stroker is only 1.5 cu ft or less? How do people design boxes and factor in the port area before their intended volume?
