okay so i installed my Q and it sounds really good... a went up to my local sound shop to show off and one of the kids who works there just put in a memphis m3 15" off a jl 500 slash. i sat in his car and i was feelin it in my chest. i know he has 5" of cone diameter on me but i dont feel it in my chest in my car like his. what am i doing wrong? lol

could me not having the box ported be killing my output? im so confused on what 2 **** with first to make it better lol

he might have also been ported. i see you are running a VERY SMALL sealed box. so that vs his possibly ported 15" is a no brainer as to why his is louder

hifonics 1208 should do around 950 watts not 1200. it only has an 80 amp fuse.

that jl should do constant 500 watts at any ohm load, so counting impendance rise, it will still put out 500 watts.

you should have a higher impendance rise because you are using a sealed box, so basically you may be giving your Q about 800 watts which is very underpower considering you are running a sealed box.

even with him pushing more wattage, the 15's cone area will cover that. especially if he is ported.
