10" L7 in 2008 silverado crew cab?

Has anyone done this? Everyone has told there's not enough room for the L7 but the L5 will work. My question is if anyone knows of one installed could they please post some picks of the design.

You could put four 18's in there if you wanted, just depends on what kind of room you want to sacrifice....

I am guessing when you said that the L5 fits but the L7 does not, you are talking about underneath the rear seat? You have a few options

1) build/buy some metal risers to make the rear seat higher

2)remove seat

3) custom center console

You could get real extreme and start cutting your truck up, but im guessing you dont want to do that for a setup that small.

build your own box.. can make a lot of stuff fit that way.. and way better than pre-fab stuff.

Make sure you check out ALL of the boxes, as there is one in there that is specifically for deeper subs.

I want to keep it under the seat. Currently I have a custom box ported with a memphis m3 and a kicker zx750.1 pushing it. I want to upgrade to the l7 for a little more bass. Problem with subthump is they don't hold the newer l7's and on top of that they are sealed.

yer only option is to raise the seat then, assuming that the L7 actually doesnt fit under there.

http://www.subthump.com makes a box specifically for the new silverado crew cab for under the rear seat. as long as you run the new L7's that don't have the pole vent then you should be fine as far as mounting depth is concerned you should even have a tad bit of room left
