10 inch L5/L7 airspace

I'm trying to figure out how much airspace the 10" L5s and L7s need to perform well. Kicker recommend 1.25-2.25 ported but I seem to remember them not doing well in anything less than 2 cubic feet. Trying to put one of these ported in a regular cab Ranger and it looks like the most I can get is 1.6 cubic feet before displacement.

i made my box sealed. i was also in a regular cab ranger. i think it ended up being about 1.3 feet after all displacements.

you won't get much more than 1.7 ported BEFORE displacement before you start to cover up your rear window.

I had my 10" L5 in just about 2 cubes after sub displacement, tuned at 38Hz and it slammed.
