1 or 2 subs?

I have a 600d coming in shortly in the mail, was going to do a 1 ohm load, and they will be powering RLPs

Most subs have a certain RMS wattage that they sound optimal at

now the question is.. if I have 2 subs running 300 to each, will that sound better than the 1 sub at 600? I know it'll have more output, just curious as to what else will happen.
