1 or 2 subs on 1200 watts

My friend calls me up so excited about how he wants to get audiobahn subs because all his friends told him they are the sh't. I told him that they might get kinda loud, but they are going to sound absolutely terrible and theres way better subs out there. He already has the JBL hooked up to 2 infinitys. Long story short- he is pissed because my 350 watt on 1 type-r is louder than his system.

He has got a 1200.1 and I told him that I would look out for him and pick him out something that is 100x better than audiobahn.

Budget is about 200 per sub. Heres what i came up with

2 15" CVR.

1 2006 L7 15".

2 12" type-r. (cheapest option~$110/120 each)

2 2005 L5 12" (will they still be hungry with 1200 watts)

2 12" pioneer premier W3004SPL

Any of those that stand out as clearing better than others? He is going for sql.

Nah I would if i didn't like the kid, but it is for his sisters/his audi s4. I don't wanna screw a friend over. Not unless i am making money on the deal.

Alright, I learned the hard way about 3 years ago. I would go with the Type R or Pioneer SPL subs.

depends on vehicle IMO

small car with 1 1200w sub works for me,

large car or trunk car with 2 600w subs would be the way to go

in that situation....

Audiobahn is complete garbage,why they get any hype is beyond me

So I was talking some more with him last night and he told me that kicker was garbage compared to audiobahn. Again, I could not stop laughing. He would not give up on what he thought... kicker is trash. He really does not understand what makes a good sub.

Excelerater-So its better to go with the 2 12" instead one 15" in an audi s4?
