Ok im thinking about getting one of those c&d batteries or a deka, but i have a question, would u go with one big battery under the hood to power everything, or one small battery under and one bigger battery in back? B/c if can i can i will want to do just one big battery and save on all the extra wiring etc.

Try the big 3 and a battery under the hood and see what your voltage drops down to.
ok the big 3, oh gosh, i have one the cars where stuff is everywhere under the hood, i think i might have to get someone to do it, my old car was a buick lesabre and everything was visible, now i have a montero limited i think the alt. is like up under the car of something, its a very complicated engine bay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

You should be fine with just one c&d under the hood. I'm running 1800 rms right now off the the small front battery,an spv70 inthe trunk, big three in 1/0 all running of the stock 75 amp alternator with no drop or dimming.

my 98 escort was hard as shit like that, but i buckled down and did it in about 2 hours lol. how big of a battery can you fit under the hood? if you can fit a big deka i would do that. if not just get a small kinetik or optima and one of my c&ds in the back

im not sure what size i can fit under my hood, i will probably do a 34 series deka in the front and the c&d beast in the back. First i will attempt the big 3 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

If the montero you have is not the sport, you can put under hood a group 31, I use to have the diesel version of that (Montero DID), The Diesel version has another space for a second battery under the hood, so I have 2 optima yellow top Group 31 under there.

Look for something similar in dimensions to the group 31 on another brand...

Hope this help.
