1 ohm wiring

i have my subs wired to 1 ohm but when i check it with the multimeter it says 1.5 ohms how come i am getting this reading?

Did you measure each vc prior to putting them in the box? I have a D4 sub but each coil actually reads 2.9-3.1.

OP- Some brands don't do exactly the impedence they say, for example Fi 1 ohm btls are usually .7
