1 ohm question

Here's a picture, but I thought If you wired the speakers to the AMP 1ohms only two wires connect to the amp? Here's a picture of my amps wiring and all four speaker wires are going to the amp. I got it "professionally installed" at some place and even told them 1 ohm... Someone tell me I'm retarded.

why does it show only two wires going to the power source? and they clearly didnt drill a hole thru my dual port box to connect the subs for 1 ohms

you can tell that the subs are just wired by themselves and that the two aren't touching eachother what so ever and just running to the amp

So? They don't need to "touch each other" to be wired in parallel.

what i mean is that dont the two subs have to be wired together for 1ohm like in that diagram? heres a picture of one of my subs and the wiring for the other is exactly the same. they go straight to the sub. both of them do without wiring together like that diagram... does that mean my shit is still 1 ohm?

Because that is NOT the only way to wire in parallel. Positive to positive and negative to negative is parallel.

Ok thanks. I just wanted to make sure i actually paid for what i wanted for. Also my system is 2 12" 1243d-type rs with a AQ1200D i notice just whenever my bass is sounding good my bass control knob says its "clipping" is there any way i can reduce the clipping?

That indicator is off somewhat from what i read on the forum. It is sensitive. As long as there isnt a steady light on, then you should be okay. (this is from what I read)

Well you can turn the gain down...that would definitely reduce the clipping signal but your also going to reduce your output.

by turning your gains down you will have less output from your subs which in turn will decrease the clipping
