ok besides the preouts...what the hell is that flat metal rectangular thing attached by a big black wire to my headunit? is that the hd radio thing? oh yea and let me just make sure since this is the conclusion i came too. is the xover really only adjustable at 1 point??? cause i really dont like the fact that i have to pick between 80hz and 100hz for the transition from speakers to subs...cause i dont want my speakers playing lower than 80, more like 100hz...and yet i dont want my subs having to play much higher than 80hz either. so am i right in my assumption that there really is only 1 xover point to choose and no idividual hpf and lfp setting like with alpine? if not i guess ill have to go with my amps filters even though i like switching on the fly with my alpine...

One x-over point is all you get with the CD5000. I believe the rectangular thing is the power converter.

No... you have to get the GPS-105 for that.

why the **** would they put the power convetter on externally? dont they realize all that god **** wiring coming off the back is a pain in the *** alread when you got big *** hands and your trying to stuff this tiny little cd player and wires in the dash. jesus. and where the hell am i suppose to put it? just let it dangle in mid air???? thanks whitemax
