Heroes are remembered, but legends never die
Well just sold one of my hdc3 15s. Now im at stand still. where as i can either sell the other one and buy a 18, or i can take the other HDC3 15 and then make it into a 18. i like the the HDC3 Motors, and im leaning more toward probly building it into the the 18 just to say ive done it lol also which ever way would be cheaper is better lol which i think me making it into a 18 will be.

but what are some of you guys thoughts.......

Build it and make it a minster HDC 3, will be louder plus you will have a custom, but shipping might add that cost up too.

im not worried about the shipping right now. plus im going to recone it myself. im just buying the parts. thats what i was thinking tho. build a MONSTER HDC3 18 and i will have 3500+rms on tap lol.. That would probly be pretty nasty all that to 1 sub

That's what I would do, super legit box

Sell it and get an HDC4 18. Or Tantric HDD 18.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

would that even hold up to 3500+rms

I was running it on my 3800.1 for a little more than a week with no issues. If in the proper enclosure with enough port so it can breath I think it would be just fine at that power. It was moving but seemed like it wanted more

I wouldnt try to build a 3500rms monster from a 1000 rms motor ...sell it and buy a beefy motor or sub...you can put the best soft parts on it but its still only.got so much motor force. and dont u like to tune high and play music? any 3500rms sub u build is gona be super stiff and not be very musical..jus sonethin to think about

this is true.... but its also just a "rating". the HDC3 motors are pretty strong motors. hell a stock hdc3 will handle 3k daily in the right box.
