1 big port or 2 separate single ports?

im buliding a box for my rockford fosgates and i was wondering if there was a difference in having just 1big port in the middle for 2 subs...OR..... have 2 separate chamber ports coming from each sub...is there a difference or is one better? Comments? Opinions? Please...

in my experience, the only way 1 port can sound different from 2 is if the single port is located on one side of the box or the other. it reflects through to the cabin and one side can sound louder than the other.

this is assumed that port area, tuning, and volume are the same in both enclosures.
