1.5cf @ 30hz too small for 12" cvx?

I have this for my elemental designs 13ov.2, but I'm going to have to send it back for warranty repairs. I just found out how cheap cvx's go for, so I was thinking of getting one and throwing it in this box and selling my 13ov.2 once it comes back. Is 1.5cf too small even if I stuff my box with polyfill? Kicker's website recommends 1.75min, which isn't too far off. I'd be powering it with a eD nine.2x amp, which does 600w at 4ohms. It is rated at 12.5v, so I'd probably be doing close to 700w to the sub.

actually, since the cvx is 06 model (i'm assuming). it should handle 600w just fine. (they can handle a LOT more than that). but i don't see why not. worse come to worst, just back the gains down a little.

just use it. you'll be fine like i said. they are known to handle alot more power so 600rms in a .25 less box wouldn't do much. just try it and see since you have the box.

It should be fine... just invert the sub.

Build a new box unless you dont have the room. Probably wont notice a worthy difference from your ed if you were powering it with the same amp. The ed probably can take about 500w I think 500w to a sub in the right box would be about the same as 700w to the CVX in a box too small. Smaller box=higher power handling.
