1.5 cubic ft and 2 (10s) VS 1.75 cubic ft for 1 (12)

CSCStang will be able to do you up just fine. He doesn't need to have your car, as long as you give him good measurements. Or he might even already know a general size that does/doesn't fit in your car. You are going to be limited on sub selection by your car. And wanting/needing to keep the MACH system. DON'T fall victim to mutiple subs in inferior/too small enclosures, it WILL sound WAY worse than a single sub in a correct enclosure .... No matter what your buddies try and tell you ....
Oh no I have kenwood 6x8's in front now that since I have them I will use in rear as rear fill and go with 6 1/2s up front. I will have the rears just well proportioned but probably not on same level as the 6 1/2s. So the mach box is ideal for using the 6x8s. If I had to buy rear speakers I would probably just do away with the box and have a few more inches to put a taller box for a 12 without having to slant the face to make a 12 fit but that's if I went with one 12. I will call Cscstang later and we will ponder over what's best and if that's one 10 or 12 or 2 10s would be fine.

the mach 460 system was only used in my car for about 6 months when I bought it late 95 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

was enough for me trust me. I'm not a competition guy or anything like that but that **** hit hard as hell lol. I mean my sub amp will be around 1500 though but if that made me happy I can imagine 1500 would sound though I have a mustang and him a CRX
Car models make a big difference and yes I had a 500 rms MTX Jackhammer set up before this and The difference is a pretty decent amount. 2k watts seems to be a good daily driver amp size for a couple 12's or 10's.

Yeah my Orion 225 Hcca was 400 rms @ 1 ohm on 2 10s since 97, went from Orion subs to pioneers later though as the Orion dvcs needed a huge box. So yeah 400 to me was decent but definitely wana go a vented box. I think I will hear syllables and sounds in the music I listen to that I haven't heard before so I'm anxious

the thing is now though I might be leaning toward one 10 vs 2. If I can get a 12 in there which I doubt because of using the mach 460 box for the rear fill speakers I would go one 12. If I only went one sub and being able to make it larger than the required 0.7 each per 10 meaning I can go up to 1.5 cubic feet, then I need to probably get a sub that can handle more than the 600 range I was going to go with in the Dayton audio HO or JL w6 and therefore having that one sub get maybe 1000 watts minimum.

Cscstang is going to call me today and we will discuss options

Really everyone is surprised at how a single 15 performed in a card with 700w. That's one of the easiest scars to get loud. If I had to guess I'd say he was probably in the high 140's and with the right box could burp a 150.

well i'm just getting back into music like that and never was a competition guy. I want a well rounded system but I want mine to hit like his did. He said he thought his system produced more muddy type bass which is why I need to go back and listen to one of the songs off my phone and see how I like it even though I will have possibly one 10 or 12 or even 2 10s instead of a 15.

Now I wonder how much different a 12 in my car , the same kind of sub he has with similar size box vented for the 12 with his amp, I wonder how much better it would sound in the crx vs my car?
