1 18" solo x, or 3 15" L7's???

I say the 3 15 L7's. Solo X will get loud, but it doesnt have magic dust that will make it louder.
HMMMM

45 inches of cone > 18 inches of cone.

Thats a no-brainer
I know that but will they be as reliable as a Solo X? I dont have much room though to add another L7. The box was made custom for my car to fit both of my L7s and it takes up the whole trunk.

**** nevermind. I just found the recommend box dimensions for a ported 18" solox and kicker recommends 10 cubic ft for one 18" Solo X to run as a good ported box for an SUV if your looking for deep bass. I got max 8 cubic ft to work with and im not even going to power the solo x no where near its recommended rms. Got to look back to the L7s...

Looking at 4 12" L7s, 3 15" L7s, or sticking to two 15"s...I could probably make a good enclosure to fit 4 12"s the minimum recommend dimension for a ported box for a 12" L7 is I think 1.8cft so Ill either stick with my 7.8cft box that I have right now or make an 8cubic ft box and give them each 2ft and run them with the orion 2500 @.5ohm

Im looking for more SPL than SQ but also to use as a daily driver. I think two 15"s will be louder than 4 12"s. I just want to add another third L7 if I stick to the 15"s so I wont have to worry too much to them blowing

I was about to question you about the space available for those L7's and the Solo X. The Solo X requires some massive volume. Get the third 15, just make sure when you wire it, the amp can handle it.

Shit that solo x is crazy! 10cubic ft, I thought 7.8cubic ft would be fine but **** nvm. I guess I will get another L7 (15"), run them @ .5ohm, and upgrade my electrical system.

4 12's would be awesome. two 15's next up. 3 15's wouldnt be cool because you'd get a funky ohm load. 1.33 ohms would set you back down to around 2000 watts... although im sure the difference in SPL would be negligable (sp?).

No. 3 15" L7s DVC 4 will give me a 0.67 Ohm load.
