1 18" solo x, or 3 15" L7's???

i had 4 L5's running off the kicker 2500.1 amp at 2 ohms in a custom bandpass box.but i blew up two of the subs. i was thinking about getting either 1 18" solo x, or 3 15" L7's.i think the 15's will be louder.but what do u guys think i should get?it's going in a 96 blazer.i got a 200 amp altenator and 2 kinetik 2400 batteries.

three 15's or four 12's should be louder than a single 18.

and you prolly blew up the L7's origionally because A, the gains were cranked, B, the box was un-optimal (bandpasses are usually NOT designed well, im not saying yours wasnt, but we have no idea).

the 3 15's should be louder.. but the 18 will get nice and loud. It would be cheaper to replace the SPAIR on the solo x then to replace 3 15" L7's as well...

I have the same question. I blew my L7s running off an Orion 2500d amp. I was thinking of buying a 18" solo x and running it @ 1 ohm (2500 rms) and put it in a ported box (7.8 cubic ft). What would be better? Running 3 L7s off the Orion 2500amp or getting the 18" Solo X. I know the Solo X wont be no where near its RMS but I want something that will get really loud and I wont have to worry about blowing it. Suggestions??

3 15 may be louder, but just for GP, I would go Solo. IMO

Why would 3 15s be louder though? I know the SOLO X if powered up correctly will be louder but I dont got much space to work with for 3 15"s. What about if I run the Solo X with a Orion 2500 amp and add another amp like an Orion 1200?

Could the SQ on the Solo X be compared to the L7s or is it much worse?

I say the 3 15 L7's. Solo X will get loud, but it doesnt have magic dust that will make it louder.
