1/0 wire

Im gonna be ordering about 50ft of 1/0 wire but im really not sure wich wire to go with. i almost ordered the knukoncepts KLM wire untill a saw it was copper coated aluminum. I then decided to get the knu collossus wire. 5100+ strands at $3.25 a foot but then i saw the Elemental Designs eNetic 0/1 for $2.75 a ft. but is only 4600 strands. Im on a pretty tight budget right now and would like to save the extra cash but, i want to make sure i get good enough wire for my amp. I have a 200amp alt coming wed. and plan on doing the big 3 and 2 runs to my trunk since my amp has 2 power and 2 ground connections. So, would i be ok saving a few bucks and getting the cheaper wire or should go for the collossus? BTW my amp is the autotek in my sig.

I'd say 2 runs of the cheap stuff is goign to be plenty of power run. Even if there's a little less actual wire, and a little more jacket, you're still running two runs of 1/0.

it really just depends how flexable you want it. my knukonceptz wire is not very flexable at all...

Two runs of 1/0 is a lot of wire, the equivalent of a single run of 4/0. How about a single run of 2/0 instead? $2.97/ft:

I'm doing 2 runs because my amp requires 2 1/0 power wires

I wasnt really worried much about the flexability but it looks like ill go with the enetic. I have spent 4 grand on my car in the last 2 months and im about broke.

You can use a distro block to split the 2/0 to two 1/0 wires. You said you wanted to save money, so I was giving you a cheaper option...

I would call up a local welding supply place..... here they have 1/0 wire for 1.30 a ft, and 1/60 a ft for 2/0

HDA is selling new 50ft spools of LA 1/0 for $110 shipped. Thats $2/ft w/ a 4704 strand count.
