I'm having a hard time finding lugs capable of holding 1/0 cable. Everything I find has a small hole, when I need about a 3/8" hole or larger. At this point im contemplating drilling them out.

Heres a picture of what I got at home depot. The copper one fits right, but its ugly and im unsure of the connection quality. I cant solder it either(Unless I dropped solder inside, crimped the wire in then heated up the copper lug.....)

The screw down one would need to be drilled out to make it bigger. I dont understand why they make alot of 10-12ga crimps with 3/8+ holes but 1/0ga is impossible to find.

So, anyone else know of a good source for what I need? Poll is just to help me decide

are you complaining about the hole the wire goes into? or the end that a bolt goes through for the battery connection?

The end that the bolt goes through. I need that hole to be 3/8" or bigger.

The copper one above is the only one ive found that fits the bill.

also with the copper terminal, u do solder it

put it in a vise, with the opening pointing up kinda like a cup. Then heat with a torch. Then keep stickin solder in it until its maybe half way full, keeping the heat on it the whole time. Then while the solder is still a liquid shove the wire into it and let the solder cool

no, i didnt use either of the pictured. i got a bag of 0 gauge raptor terminals, the crimp style, for 5 dollars, and there was 20 terminals inthe bag, so i just used a 3/8" bit and enlarged the hole.

really, so i should just do that instead of crimping it? Or should I do that AND slightly crimp it?
