Poppin tinsels off of terminals? WTF?!

I feel like a real dum dumm!!!! I have an 'ol PG Ti12d with bad tinsel connections, its messed up! I bought it from a friend thinkin that i could be a smartie and fix it, maybe give it a better/stronger connection but after I soldered it back to the terminal it was ok and held but since that he tried to bump it and it held for a while but then it came undone at the base of the cone. i thought it would be ok but then it popped off the terminal again but the end by the base of the cone held fine, WHAT DID I DO WRONG? Could it be the strength of the solder I used???? Or WTF did I do??????? Please Any thoughts would be great. THANX

my guess is, your lead is too short.
