Running a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 and a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 500.2 (or maybe a 600.4 bridged)

So thats roughly 1800-2000 watts. Im thinking I am going to need 1/0 awg wiring. I though there was a sticky on this once. Running 4 guage probably wont do the trick, right? My friend is on a budget so Im trying to find him quality wiring on a budget. I know welding cable is much cheaper than car audio wire.

Im running a Kicker 1/0awg kit. It ran me like, $100+ if I rememer correctly

Thats what I was thinking. Thanks for the reply.

Could I get away with 2 awg?

Also, what would be a good amp kit for my friend/brother on a college budget?

Check knukonceptz' ebay store--I believe they sell their 0 gauge there and I was astounded at their prices. I ordered my 4 gauge kit from them a day ago. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks for the help guys! That really helps.

I told my friend, last night, to go to a welding supply store and try to find some 1/0 awg wiring cable. He found 50 feet for $45, which I think is a heck of a deal. I told him to find around 50 feet because I plan on doing the Big 3 Upgrade to his Silverado while we are at it. I know that regular cab 2007 Silverado doesnt have a big enough alternator and I know his lights are going to dim like mad crazy so the Big 3 is a must.
