I've been reading thread after thread by searching for this topic but reading lots of conflicting posts. I'm planning on installing a Orion HCCA 225 and Orion Cobalt 2100 amp soon. Both are fused 40 and 30 internally. I have a 150 in line fuse for the battery and plan on running 4 gauge wire to a distrobution block. Should I or do I need a fused distrobution block? Is this necessary and if so, what size fuse should I get for it?

I'm on the fence as to spending the money for a smaller fuse at the battery, say a 100 or 125 fuse. Is it worth downsizing this fuse? I don't plan on running bigger amps down the road.

Last question is I can either run 4 or 8 gauge wire to these amps (I think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ), any suggestions on which to run? I may be wrong on them being able to take 4 gauge so if you know please feel free to let me know. Thanks for the help in advance!

It would be cheaper, it might be easier to find a place to mount it, and you would have a ton of options if you just do two, 3 slot fuse holders...

Buy the 4 ch and keep the other. Usually on a 5 ch there isnt much of a substage, but there are a couple with a 1k @1ohm ch., but very few. A 5...
